Housing in LA is often static, expensive, and exclusionary. Fractal Foundations challenges this by introducing modular, prefabricated units that evolve with families over time offering adaptability without financial strain. By prioritizing cost efficiency, rapid construction, and climate-responsive design, the project balances affordability with livability. Thoughtfully placed open spaces and pathways stitch together different social fabrics, ensuring both connection and privacy. In embedding low-income housing within an affluent neighborhood, the project is more than shelter it is a statement on equity, questioning who gets to belong in the city and how design can help bridge, rather than reinforce, divides.
