Movement toward the personalization and reachability of digital media draw into question the relevance of cinema in the contemporary community structure. This proposal reevaluates the institution as a common ground for interclass discourse and collision, reminiscent of its previous situation.

This narrative is instilled through a large central spine, receiving moviegoers and neighborhood residents alike, splintering into a series of ramped circulation paths. Individual volumes are sculpted by concrete panels, where steel reinforcement is pulled out, exposing the compressive and tensile relationship between materials and allowing for unique articulation dictated by programmatic constraints.
