MittenCorps is a proposed talent retention program specific to the state of Michigan that aims to connect Michigan-educated talent with small Michigan towns to encourage current and future residents to grow roots in the state.

The program is modeled after other independent government agencies, such as PeaceCorps and AmeriCorps, offering cohorts of invested applicants the opportunity to work and contribute to communities they care about. The MittenCorps Pilot Program could involve around 100 college graduates and several small Michigan towns, laying the groundwork for future cohorts and cities to join the MittenCorps network. We’re not paying you to move here, but we are offering a helping hand – and a pair of mittens – if you do.
